DFF or The Independant Research Fund Denmark hosts an event honoring the best independant researchers in Denmark. Original idea of the Year award is handed out, this year by HM. Queen Mary of Denmark and Minister of Education. I’ve photographed the Royals countless times in Denmark, and have a good and respectful relationship with their institution and staff.

When people ask me what I do as a photographer, this is a great example of how I work. I do a lot of corporate events every year, and I see thousands of people during those in front of the lens- and I try to get the most honest reportage possible, no different from when covering events as a photojournalist. Im just there, silently working but trying to be those 5 seconds ahead of whats happening to get the best shots. This guarantees me and my client something I find more unique than just photos of people, its emotions and moments.
