Back in 2018 I was invited to spend 3 months at the danish parliament making an artwork themes about politics. I walked miles and miles at the parliament buildings and ended up making a new take on the classical statesman portrait. Each of the portraits we spend half an hour talking about their life as a politician and after that made the portrait. The frames all are re-used frames from thrift shops around Denmark as I wanted the portrait to fit into a frame that had seen life in the living rooms of Danish families. Each of the politicians did not have any saying in the posing nor which of their portraits that I choose, so it was a complete free artistic practice.
